The Alessi Zucch sugar castor is a visual delight and comes from the energetic creative mind of Lisa Vincitorio.
The sugar appears to be suspended in mid-air inside that delightful form thanks to the double walled nature of the design. This distinctive feature is created using borosilicate glass and it gives the impression that the contents are floating inside a crystal bubble.
Each piece is hand crafted using lead oxide free glass and may contain small bubbles or other slight imperfections that are part of the artisan process. This is a skilled process and ensures that each piece is unique and special in its own right.
The castor is refilled through a hole in the base which is closed by a small transparent silicone cap.
