Ericson originally launched the Cobra phone in the 1940’s and compared to it’s competitors it must have looked like a jet fighter stood next to one of the early efforts by the Wright Brothers.
This was the first all-in-one telephone in the world and achieved rapid success thanks to its revolutionary design and convenience, not to mention those unashamedly vibrant colours. The Cobra phone has also been known as the Erifon and Ericofon and now that those canny characters at Wild & Wolf have now revived this iconic form and we can all enjoy this landmark design once again.
The ScandiPhone plugs straight into your landline socket with the curly cord supplied and that endearing tring-tring can be heard once again. As one enthusiastic ScandiPhone owner so succinctly put it, ‘No more fumbling for the receiver, with the ScandiPhone you just grab and gab!’
The modern enhancements serve only to improve the design for today’s needs. It uses push button dialing, you can set the set the phone to pulse or tone and simply switch to silent if you don't wish to be disturbed. The ScandiPhone also has a redial button and works with automated telephone services.
